jmBoard is compatible with almost any Java-enabled phone. Minimal requirements are MIDP 2.0 and JSR-75 profiles. jmBoard may not start on phone with limited memory for Java applications.

Chess engine shows very good level of skills running on modern phones with powerful processors. Level may decrease on other models.

jmBoard contains one set of classic piece images and one board coloring.

jmBoard was successfully tested on Nokia 5800 and Nokia E51.
