At the end of 1944 Germany was definitely losing the World War II and Hitler was trying to stop the union troops and to prevent the Third Reich from collapse, he decided to make the last desperate step to be saved - counterblow. German command took advantage of the mistakes of its opponent and secretly placed 25 divisions in Ardennes section. On the 16th of December, 1944 German troops attacked. The Ardennes battle became one of the biggest land military operations of the World War II, the result of the entire war depended on this battle.
